Job Purpose

Achieve vehicle sales target by successfully managing sales team, accountable for developing sales strategy, customer relationship management and achievement of targeted revenue within acceptable levels of risk. Develop and maintain relationships with principals, manufacturers and suppliers in order to maximize support in achieving organization goal. Identify new business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability and customer base.

Job Responsibilities

  • Determine annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies; and analyzing trends and results
  • Prepare sales strategy analyzing past trends and current market dynamics in order to improve market share
  • Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories and project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
  • Develop and maintain relationships with principals, manufacturers and suppliers in order to maximize support
  • Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
  • Closely work with aftersales departments and develop complementing initiatives to ensure that efficiencies are achieved in all areas of the business through introducing and streamlining best practiced processes and procedures to a customer centric culture
  • Closely work with marketing department and align the marketing plan with sales strategy
  • Analyze/assess operational processes, identify potential risks and ensure compliance with all established policies, procedures and regulations to ensure that the interests of UD are protected at all time
  • Lead, motivate and develop subordinates in order to achieve required levels of performance and competency. Build a high performance sales culture to deliver maximum sales and exceed budgets
  • Manage sales operation process to enable sales team productivity. Proactively identify bottlenecks of the sales process and find the way to resolve them
  • Analyze sales trends and lead time to optimize Inventory
  • Prepare (monthly, quarterly, annual) sales performance report and submit to general manager
  • Evaluate and assess the different promotional campaigns initiated throughout the year and submit reports on effectiveness of each promotion in terms of sales volumes achieved, GP and profitability. Provide comparison with all previous campaigns of the year
  • Coordinate with sales support team/logistics to improve the response to end-user

Job Requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Automobile degree
  • Additional qualification in Marketing/Business Administration preferred but not mandatory

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years Managerial experience in multi brand environment of Commercial Vehicles/Industrial or Heavy Equipment dealership
  • UAE experience is preferred but not mandatory 

 

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proven knowledge of effective sales strategies and best practices
  • Knowledge of inventory control and management
  • Knowledge and experience of the automotive sector (with specific emphasis on Commercial Vehicles or Heavy equipment) in the local market
  • Knowledge of the practical application of automotive and electronic technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, equipment, etc.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Proficient in English language (verbal and written)
