Job Purpose

To oversee insurance-related operations and drive Bodyshop business growth through proactive insurance and fleet company engagement. The Bodyshop Supervisor ensures timely claim approvals, strong insurer relations, increased workflow, and achievement of department targets.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit detailed repair estimates for insurance cases.
  • Follow up on insurance approvals, minimize rejection rates, and expedite delayed claims.
  • Ensure all documentation (claim numbers, approvals, repair orders) is complete and filed properly.
  • Actively contact and coordinate with insurance companies to generate more accident repair jobs.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with key insurance partners and large fleet customers.
  • Handle corporate claim procedures, negotiate approvals when required, and ensure smooth repair handling.
  • Provide updates to customers on approval status, repair progress, and vehicle readiness.
  • Handle disputes or clarification requests from customers and insurers.
  • Track and monitor insurance jobs throughout the Bodyshop process.
  • Coordinate internally with the Workshop Manager and Parts Department to ensure timely repair progress.
    Communicate job completion to customers and arrange timely deliveries.
  • Drive Bodyshop job intake by expanding insurer and fleet relationships.
  • Support the achievement of Bodyshop monthly revenue and profitability targets.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports on workflow, claim volume, approval rate, and outstanding cases.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Business, or Insurance.

 

Experience:

  • 8–12 years of experience in bodyshop operations, insurance handling, or fleet accident repair.
  • Experience working with fleet operators, insurance companies, and third-party adjusters.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Familiarity with claim systems and estimation tools (e.g., Audatex or similar).
  • Insurance Claims & Estimation Knowledge
  • Fleet and Insurer Account Management
