Job Purpose

Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. Bi developer will have experience with data modelling, data integration, data visualizations. BI tools like Power BI.

Job Responsibilities

Business Intelligence (BI) Developer

  • Design, develop, and deploy BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications and implement reporting solutions.
  • Build and optimize data models using SQL and other data tools for performance and scalability.
  • Create and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to gather data from multiple sources.
  • Collaborated with stakeholders to define KPIs and data visualization needs, improving reporting accuracy

Help Desk Support 

  • Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to define and deliver data solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data/reporting issues and perform regular data quality checks.
  • Maintain documentation for BI solutions and best practices.
  • Stay current with BI technologies and trends to improve existing systems
  • Monitor system performance and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

Others 

  • Train the end users.
  • Assist IT Manager-Applications in Make or Buy decisions while evaluating solutions.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a BI Developer .

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence development and data analytics roles.
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing BI solutions using tools like Power BI, Tableau, 
  • Proven experience working with SQL and large datasets in relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, , MySQL).
  • Experience in building and maintaining ETL pipelines and data integration workflows.
  • Prior involvement in data warehousing projects or dimensional modeling is highly preferred.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather business requirements.
  • Familiarity with scripting or data processing languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud BI platforms .

Knowledge & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Analyst.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle).
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling.
  • Experience with ETL tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration

Certification

  •  Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS)
  •  Knowledge of Python, R, or other data scripting languages.
  •  Experience in Agile development environments.
  •  BI certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) is a plus
