Emirates Electrical Engineering is a specialized business platform that provides comprehensive turnkey solutions combining development, financing, construction and operation of solar rooftops for commercial and industrial building in the UAE, also a responsive and flexible organization dedicated for the design and construction of turnkey electrical power projects such as High Voltage Substations, Cable Networks and Transmission Lines.

Job Purpose

A motivated and proactive Junior Assistant to provide support in the review and administration of contracts for the entire life cycle related to Solar PV projects, Switchgear manufacturing, and ESCO and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) contracts. The ideal candidate will assist in ensuring the efficient finalization, administration, and lifecycle management of contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, and supporting the team with day-to-day contract-related activities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain consistency with the organization's policies and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing contract documents, ensuring they are accurate and align with organizational and legal standards.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in contract terms and conditions before they are finalized.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Contracts Manager, vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders to address and resolve any issues related to the contract.
  • Gather and consolidate requirements, specifications, and deliverables from all parties involved in the contract.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contractual documents and correspondence.
  • Ensure the integrity of contract files, compliance audits, and ease of retrieval for future references or audits.
  • Track key metrics and maintain a contract database for quick access to relevant information.
  • Contract Review Support: Assist in the review of contracts, including Solar PV, Switchgear manufacturing, and MEP agreements, to ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
  • Contract Administration: Support the sales and Commercial team in monitoring, issuing correspondences, and managing the lifecycle of contracts, from inception to completion, supporting with correspondences, proactive communication and ensuring all contractual obligations are met by both parties.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate documentation , letters and MOM’s related to contract negotiations, amendments, and renewals. Assist in creating reports on contract performance, compliance, and key milestones.
  • Contract Lifecycle Support: Monitor contract deadlines, milestones, and Handing over and taking over notices and progress performance indicators to ensure timely execution and completion of the projects and any outstanding matters. Track and record variations, amendments, and extensions.
  • Cost Management Assistance: Provide support in monitoring and tracking contract-related costs, ensuring alignment with budget and scope. Assist in reviewing cost reports, invoices, and payment schedules with a clear intent of always avoiding any related damages.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • A degree or diploma in Engineering, or QS related field.

Experience:

  • Ideally, 3-4 years of relevant experience as a Project or Contracts Engineer.
  • Familiarity with Contracts and contract terms in Solar PV, Switchgear, and MEP contracts is desirable but not required.

Communication Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive communication skills.
