Emirates Electrical Engineering is a specialized business platform that provides comprehensive turnkey solutions combining development, financing, construction and operation of solar rooftops for commercial and industrial building in the UAE, also a responsive and flexible organization dedicated for the design and construction of turnkey electrical power projects such as High Voltage Substations, Cable Networks and Transmission Lines.

Job Purpose

The MEP Divisional Manager is the primary stakeholder accountable for the profit and Loss (P&L) for the MEP Division at EEE. The incumbent will lead the entire MEP Projects operations and deliverables. The role reports into the Operations Manager of EEE and has the entire project management team of MEP reporting into the role.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for overall strategic planning of all MEP projects to ensure timely delivery of all projects under the Division.

  • Oversee the division performance with regards to time, cost, HSE and ensure timely delivery of all projects by meeting quality standards.

  • Responsible to establish the baseline plan for projects under the division.

  • Responsible for the overall resource plan of the division.

  • Responsible to ensure delivery of goods and services within the contractual scope and establish / obtain elicit approvals for variations and applicable for any goods / services outside the contractual scope.

  • Establishing Necessary Contractual correspondence with Client on the delays and cost impact on the project at respective seniority levels as needed and requested by PM’s in escalated cases.

  • Conduct weekly divisional project meetings for knowledge sharing and guiding all Direct reports on overall division and project efficiencies and lapses (if any) and new learning.

  • Participate in the negotiations for contract finalization with project stakeholders (where necessary).

  • Monitor submission and clearance of invoices in the division and monitor the budget and project cash flow at regular intervals.

  • Collaborate with Project Managers and other Line Managers to ensure a high-performing, service-oriented work environment aligned with company objectives, values, and strategic goals.

  • Accountable for the Profit and Loss (P&L) of the MEP division.

  • Ensure the professional development of staff within the Division to ensure they keep abreast of technical developments, relevant regulations and industry best practice.

  • Ensure safety and security in workplace environments of all MEP projects and ensure compliance of all projects with safety standards and government regulations.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Master’s degree in Business Management  preferred.

  • Valid PMI - PMP Certification preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in managing MEP projects for residential and commercial towers and industrial buildings. 

  • Minimum 3-4 years of managerial experience in an MEP organization. Experience in managing MEP projects in UAE or any other GCC countries is mandatory. 

  • ESCO industry experience preferred

        Knowledge & Skills

  • Proven experience in managing an MEP division at the divisional manager level

  • Accountable for the P&L of the division, with cost control and P&L management skills.

  • Strong skills in project management, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.

  • Ability to work effectively with the Estimation Manager and Business Development Manager, with a result-oriented mindset towards business generation.

  • Must have a proven track record of managing revenue and profit.

  • Knowledge of MEP systems, construction practices, and authority regulations.

  • Possession of a valid UAE driving license.
