Job Purpose
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, managing the pre-delivery inspection (PDI) process, and ensuring the effective and timely movement of vehicles and materials. This role ensures that all logistics processes align with company standards and customer expectations, focusing on the accuracy, safety, and efficiency of the operations..
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate the inbound and outbound transportation of vehicles.
- Monitor shipping schedules, customs clearance, and port handling for vehicles.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Track and report on vehicle movements, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulations and ARTC policies
- Implement best practices for vehicle storage, handling, and safety within the warehouse or yard.
- Coordinate with sales and service departments to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Ensure a positive customer experience by maintaining high standards of professionalism and service.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and logistics reports.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings in transportation and logistics operations.
- Optimize delivery routes and vehicle allocation to reduce lead times and operational costs.
- Analyze logistics data to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce bottlenecks.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Diploma / Bachelor Degree / Business Management, preferably in Automotive Industry.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in logistics, preferably within the automotive or car dealership industry.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, customs clearance, and supply chain best practices.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, logistics management software, and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage suppliers and logistics partners.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
