Job Purpose

The Operations Manager – Retail will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of 8–10 automotive retail outlets specializing in service and parts, including tires, batteries, lubricants, and other automotive components. This role ensures operational excellence, service quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability across all locations. The Operations Manager will lead and support Service Centre Leads to drive efficiency, compliance, and performance in line with company objectives

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operational activities of 8–10 retail service centers, ensuring consistent service standards and operational excellence.
  • Manage and guide Service Centre Leads to achieve KPIs related to customer satisfaction, service delivery, sales targets, inventory control, and staff productivity.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective action plans where needed.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Work closely with the Division Manager to implement strategic initiatives and achieve business goals.
  • Lead operational audits and ensure SOPs are being followed across all locations.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, marketing, and finance teams to optimize stock levels, promotions, and cost controls.
  • Drive initiatives to improve customer experience, service turnaround time, and overall operational efficiency.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to ensure competitiveness and relevance of the business offering.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Automotive Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).

Experience

  • Minimum 6–8 years of experience in retail operations, preferably in the automotive sector.
  • Proven experience in managing multi-site retail/service operations.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of automotive products and services (tires, batteries, lubricants, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, people management, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (experience with SAP or similar systems is an advantage)
