Job Purpose

The Pre-sales Manager will oversee the development, pricing, planning, and operational processes for the product portfolio within the automotive industry. This role combines product &Pricing management expertise with data-driven decision-making and cross-functional coordination to ensure market competitiveness, product efficiency, and alignment with overall business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

•    Oversee the product portfolio for cars, ensuring alignment with market trends, customer demand, and business goals.
•    Collaborate with OEMs to secure inventory and plan vehicle models based on market demand.
•    Track product performance, adjusting the portfolio based on sales trends, customer feedback, and market conditions.
•    Liaise with accessories department to leverage accessories as an additional revenue stream. 
•    Streamline product line and define a clear product strategy for volume and profit generating models. 
•    Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for selling the car, including homologations, vehicle certifications and legal documentation.
•    Develop and implement competitive pricing strategies for new and used cars based on market research, cost analysis, and competitor pricing.
•    Regularly review and advice the needed tactical for both new and used vehicles to maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market.
•    Work with sales and finance teams to ensure pricing strategies are aligned with overall business objectives and customer expectations.
•    Assess the impact of pricing changes on vehicle sales and profitability, adjusting strategies as needed based on market dynamics.
•    Lead the planning and forecasting process for car inventory, ensuring alignment with projected sales and market demand.
•    Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer preferences and forecast demand for different vehicle models and types.
•    Work closely with procurement and inventory teams to ensure optimal inventory levels of cars, minimizing stockouts and overstock.
•    Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to vehicle availability, sales targets, and inventory turnover.
•    Ensure orders to OEM is placed on time with right specification and color mix. 
•    Manage the logistics operations for new cars, ensuring efficient transportation, storage, and delivery to fleet customers or retail branches. 
•    Develop logistics strategies to optimize transportation routes, reduce delivery costs, and ensure timely delivery of vehicles to customers and dealers.
•    Coordinate with third-party logistics providers, vehicle transporters, and distribution centers to ensure reliable and efficient operations.
•    Ensure vehicles are properly stored and maintained, which may require additional inspection, repair, or refurbishment before resale.
•    Address any logistical issues, such as delays or damaged vehicles during transit, and implement corrective actions.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or relevant.

Experience

  • 8 -10 years of experience in Product, pricing and planning within automotive sector.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Product planning, vehicle logistics, pricing strategies, and market analysis.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in using sales and logistics software/tools (e.g., SAP, Autoline, CRM systems).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
