Emirates Electrical Engineering is a specialized business platform that provides comprehensive turnkey solutions combining development, financing, construction and operation of solar rooftops for commercial and industrial building in the UAE, also a responsive and flexible organization dedicated for the design and construction of turnkey electrical power projects such as High Voltage Substations, Cable Networks and Transmission Lines.

Job Purpose

Responsible for managing the planning, execution, monitoring and control of various civil engineering activities within Power Transmission and Distribution Cabling projects for successful completion of the projects. To liaise with site team, client / authorities engineers and various other Project stake holders to obtain engineering approvals and NOCs for the Projects.  Obtain final clearance of the projects from client, authorities and other stake holders after successful completion of the projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed civil works schedules in coordination with concerned Site / Project Managers
  • Review and recommend to approve engineering drawings, shop-drawing, specifications, and documents to ensure alignment with project requirements
  • Coordinate with the site team, Design Manager, Site / Project Managers to do the cable route engineering and obtain approvals from client and authorities
  • Manage the Site Civil Engineers and Supervisors for completion of project tasks in line with the schedules
  • Monitor resource utilization and ensure optimum resource allocation within the Project allocated budget
  • Coordinate inspections by client and Obtain certification of works progresses on regular basis
  • Collate the site execution related documents for client inspections, records and invoice submissions
  • Coordinate and accompany government authorities and RTA officials to the sites to obtain final clearance certificates for the projects
  • Interpret geotechnical reports as and when required
  • Coordinate and oversee project activities, ensuring adherence to established plans
  • Identify potential project risks and develop effective strategies to mitigate them
  • Monitor project progress and address any deviations from the plan promptly
  • Anticipate and manage technical challenges and unforeseen issues that may arise during project execution
  • Conduct thorough quality inspections and assessments of civil constructions and structures to verify compliance with specifications
  • Implement testing and validation procedures to ensure the durability and safety of constructed projects
  • Maintain clear and open communication with project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and management
  • Provide regular updates, progress reports, and presentations to keep stakeholders informed of project status
  • Foster a collaborative work environment, promoting effective teamwork and knowledge sharing
  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including technical drawings, reports, and correspondence
  • Create comprehensive documentation for projects, enabling efficient maintenance and future reference

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor in Civil Engineering / Diploma in Civil Engineering
  • Approval from RTA for project works in Right of Way

 

Experience

  • Minimum 5 to 7 year of relevant experience in the Electrical Projects. 3 year of supervisory experience is desired.
  • Experience in designing Building structures and transmission line towers desirable.

 

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficiency in civil engineering software, Project management tools, Relevant industry standards and Authority Regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make informed decisions in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder management
  • Detail-oriented mind set with a commitment to delivering high-quality results
  • Demonstrated project management skills, encompassing planning, resource allocation, and risk management
