Job Purpose

The role will cover a range of construction, conversions refurbishments and redevelopment work. The project Engineer will support the Project Manager in charge of running projects from inception through to completion on prime residential units, office and retail work and any new development project as per the company's business plan.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager to deliver assigned projects within budget and programme from inception through to completion
  • Follow up with the project's stakeholders to ensure all the works are executed timely as specified, and in line with the Authorities rules and regulations.
  • Follow up with the project's Consultant and Contractor to ensure timely submission of the closing out documents (snagging/de-snagging sign off sheets, as-builts, T&C reports, O&M, warranties, etc.) as specified in the Contract.
  • Coordinate with the Client's facility management team during the handing over stage as specified.
  • Dealing directly with external consultants (architects, QS & PM) and contractors
  • Liaising with team members across the property department
  • Providing progress reports to the Project Manager on a regular basis
  • Ensuring everything meets its obligation with regards to health and safety
  • Assist with the delivery of the approved Business Plan
  • Identify project construction risks
  • Assist to maintain a Master Development Programme 
  • Support the Project manager with necessary building regulation
  • Instruct, manage and ensure that appropriate procurement and tendering documentation is prepared appropriately detailing the design and the requirements of the employer in respect of the construction of the development in accordance with the agreed development programme and the agreed procurement strategy.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Architectural Design / Civil Engineering/ MEP Engineering

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a project Engineer, in the UAE

Knowledge & Skills

  • Computer Knowledge: Good knowledge in AUTOCAD, MS Project and planning softwares, with very good knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • High Level of proficiency in English ( spoken and written) Arabic is an advantage
