Job Purpose
Providing accounting and clerical support to ensure that financial transactions are in compliance and of the VAT regulations. Researching, analyzing and interpreting changing tax legislation in both inside UAE. Working with tax laws in UAE and update the changes to the management.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare, validate and submit of monthly/quatarly VAT return according to govt. regulations ensuring all related queries are proactively addressed
- Prepare Monthly Balance Score Card for Each Division highlighting the deviation against objectives
- Conduct various analysis in product Category/ Customer Category/SKU/Inventory, ageing stocks, trade marketing spends highlighting the deviation against set objectives
- Obtain, verity and settle the Vendor Debit Notes and Credit Notes for Trade Spent/Campaign/Incentives/Third Party reimbursements, etc. as per contractual terms and condition, and compliance with company policy and procedures
- Perform division wise data analysis (income analysis, revenue, GP/NP comparison) interpreting the risk and gaps in division performance
- Prepare and consolidate MIS report for management reporting
- Examine and consolidate budget estimates prepared by division manager for its completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations
- Assist finance manager for yearend accounting closure requirements in co-ordination with internal procedures and with statutory auditors
- Whistle blowing – Highlight any significant financial/business mismanagement, informing immediately the designated authorities at Head Office
- Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers
- Develop and maintain a filing system for financial information, records and documents to ensure easily available information.
- Comply with the company QMS requirements
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting
- Professional certificate in accounts/finance would be preferable
- Any certification in analytics would be added advantage
Experience
- 5 years’ experience in general accounting with 2 years in Tax Accounting
- Experience in MIS would be preferable
Knowledge & Skills
- Finance and Accounting — Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, the analysis and reporting of financial data
- Mathematics — Knowledge of arithmetic, statistics, and their applications
- Clerical — Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology
- Law and Government:- Knowledge of VAT laws of UAE, government regulations, etc.
- Analytical skills: knowledge of performing various financial and statistical analysis
- Time Management — Managing one's own time
- Accounting software — SAP, Tally, or any other accounting ERP
